Who is eligible?
A Con Edison commercial, industrial or multi-family residential building (must be 75+ units) customer in an existing building who pays the electric Systems Benefit Charge; has not received an incentive from NYSERDA or other utility for same project, and an existing facility (new construction not eligible). Existing studies up to 2 years old may be used, and up to 5 years old with updated costs.
What this Program Offers
ConEd will co-fund technical feasibility studies (ASHRAE Level III) up to 50%.The energy study will focus primarily on HVAC and control systems, as well as other major energy-using process activities.
Maximum funding per study is $67,000 for combined electric and gas study, and $50,000 for electric or gas study.
ConEd may perform an on-site inspection of a facility’s existing equipment & systems. Eligible customers will receive an acceptance letter from ConEd. ConEd may elect to perform pre- and/or post-installation inspection(s). Generally, ConEd will allow 1 year from the date of the acceptance letter to the completion of the installation.
The following steps are suggested after receipt of the ConEd acceptance letter which will specify the estimated rebate amount:
The actual incentive amount will be determined upon post-inspection and may vary from original estimates. Checks are sent approximately 6 weeks after completion of study. Rebate checks will be payable directly to the ConEd account holder.

Who is eligible?
Eligible applicants include: NYS industrial, commercial, and institutional facilities, state and local governments, not-for-profit and private institutions, public and private K-12 schools, colleges and universities, and health care facilities.
Facilities must pay into the System Benefits Charge as electricity distribution customers of one of the following utilities: Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation, Consolidated Edison, New York State Electric & Gas Corporation, National Grid, Orange and Rockland Utilities, Inc., and Rochester Gas and Electric Corporation.
What this Program Offers
NYSERDA’s FlexTech Program provides eligible facilities with objective and customized information on a cost-shared basis to help customers make informed energy decisions.
FlexTech’s goal is to increase productivity and economic competitiveness of participating facilities by identifying and encouraging the implementation of cost-effective energy efficiency, carbon reduction measures, peak-load curtailment, and combined heat & power (CHP) and renewable generation projects.
