Joseph J. Grano, Jr.

Chairman & Co-founder

Mr. Grano is Chairman and CEO of Centurion Holdings LLC, a company that advises private and public companies. He was previously the Chairman and CEO of UBS Financial Services Inc. (formerly UBS PaineWebber).

Mr. Grano was instrumental in helping to bring about the merger of PaineWebber with UBS in 2000.
Prior to joining PaineWebber he was with Merrill Lynch for 16 years, holding various senior management positions including Director of National Sales.
In 1987 he was named the industry’s best retail marketing executive in a survey conducted by Investment Dealers’ Digest.
Former Chairman of the Board of Governors of NASD and a member of the NASD’s Executive Committee.
Appointed by President George W. Bush in 2002 to serve as the Chairman of the Homeland Security Advisory Council. He served in this capacity until August 2005.
Mr. Grano holds honorary Doctor of Laws degrees from Pepperdine University and Babson College as well as an honorary Doctor of Human Letters degree from Queens College.
In addition to being one of the financial service industry’s leading executives, Mr. Grano is involved in a wide range of educational and philanthropic endeavors. Mr. Grano also served in the U.S. Special Forces (Green Berets).

Governor George E. Pataki

Board Member & Co-founder

Governor George E. Pataki joined the law firm of Chadbourne and Parke, LLP in 2007 as Counsel, focusing on their environmental and corporate practice areas. The Governor is also the founder and Chairman of Pataki-Cahill Group, a consulting firm concentrating on climate change, energy and the environment. He previously served three terms as the 53rd governor of New York State, from 1995 to 2006. [Read More]

James M. Orphanides

Since January 2010 James M. Orphanides has served as a Partner and the President of Centurion Holdings LLC. Mr. Orphanides is Chairman Emeritus of First American Title Insurance Company of New York and a Director, effective December 31, 2007. [Read More]

Anthony Sblendorio

Co-CEO & Co-founder

Anthony Sblendorio, a social entrepreneur and one of the pioneers of sustainable and regenerative design in New Jersey, is Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Ecological, LLC. In 2008, Mr. Sblendorio partnered with Joe Grano, the former chairman and CEO of UBS/PaineWebber, and George Pataki, the former governor of New York, to form Ecological. The company includes both a regenerative land development division and the division of Comprehensive Sustainability Services for existing real estate, primarily residential and commercial buildings. Timothy Howell, CEM, CEA, LEED AP

Vice President of Real Estate Sustainability Services

Mr. Howell, who joined Ecological in October 2010, has extensive experience in the green building industry, including his recent role as LEED project manager for the Platinum Certified Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Park. He is a LEED Accredited Professional, Certified Energy Manager and Certified Energy Auditor and brings a strong knowledge of sustainable design, construction, operations and maintenance to his management of Ecological’s sustainable service offerings. Board Member

Bill Reed is an internationally recognized proponent and practitioner in sustainability and regeneration. He is a principal in both the Integrative Design Collaborative and Regenesis, Inc, - consulting organizations working to lift green building and community planning into designs that are fully integrated and evolving with living systems.
